VintageINTERNATIONAL SILVER CO.Sterling SilverCigarette CaseAll measurements are approximate:Size: 1 7/8" x 2 3/8" / Weight: 28.7 grams / NO MonogramYou're bidding on a nice Art Deco sterling silver case that may have been on a chatelaine or possibly held small cigarettes. There is a small bale on the top that may have held a chain to attach to a chatelaine. It measures approx. 1 7/8" x 2 3/8" so it is quite small. The case is stamped "International / CW / Sterling / 56" on the inside edge. There is a small cartouche that would great for a monogram.This is in very good condition with the usual light surface scratches; to state the obvious it is definitely in need of a good polishing. When polished it may reveal more surface scratches or perhaps some tiny dings. It closes with a good snap. See pictures for details and I will let them speak for themselves. Please note: This is being shown as found and I did not polish it. Most buyers tell me not to polish. I will leave that to the lucky winner. I use a macro lens to capture as much detail as possible. Keep in mind when using the zoom tool that you are seeing the item magnified many times over.
