Antique African Adungu 4 String Hand Made Gourd Hide Wood Bow Harp InstrumentAuthentic African folk art, hand crafted Adungu musical instrument measures 23” long and 8-1/2” at the widest. It has 4 strings, made out of animal hide, some kind of light weight, hand carved wood and a hollow gourd (the gourd has a natural dimple and a shallow-surface crack which are original to the gourd, not affecting its performance). One of the strings seems to be looser than the rest and looks like the end of the neck had a “wooden peg?". It belonged to a poker champion who traveled the world and brought it back from Africa. It was in a collection for a long time in California and ended up in an estate in Florida. Please see photos for further details. Comes from a smoke-pet free home.
