This headliner has 3 plastic bows, a manual lock and finishes with a snap-on front. This is the most common version for the 1994 to 1996 E36. EARLY 1997 328i: Charcoal Headliner - Manual Lock - with a 3/4 pinch welt and plastic pieces on front sides. This headliner has 3 plastic bows and plastic pieces on both sides of the front section of the headliner. This is a rare version for the early 1997 328i without the pocketed sleeve. 1997 TO 1999 MODELS: Charcoal Headliner - Power Lock - with a pocket sleeve in the front. This version has 2 plastic bows, electric latch and a pocket sleeve at the front for the 323i, 328i and M3. This is the most common version. 1997-1999 MODELS: Charcoal Headliner - Manual Lock - with a full length pinch welt on the front.
