This is a Certificate for several lots in Northwest Denver, dated Jan. 29, 1861. Not only was this long before Colorado became a state, but Colorado Territory had yet to be formed, and Denver was still in Kansas Territory at the time. It is signed by J. W. Stanton, President, and a Secretary whose name I can't quite make out. This certificate was printed by the News Printing Co. of Denver, making it among the earliest items printed in what was to become the state of Colorado. You will receive the exact certificate pictured, No. 897. Measures approx. 7.5" x 3".Good used condition with some minor wear - see scan.SHIPPING: Shipping is free to US addresses, or you may upgrade to Priority Mail for additional cost.
