Doe Mendnhall (b. 22 Oct 1871, Stillwater, ME; d. 31 Jan 1899, Memphis, TN), Amy’s sister and Luther’s first wife. Sarah Eveline Barnhill Mendenhall (b. 1833, Hickman, TN; d. 8 Aug 1902, Memphis, TN). William F. Crandlemire (b. Feb 1840, Maine) who was married to Lizzie B. Doe, Amy’s sister. Nancy J. Doe (b. c 1850, Maine). Some sources list her as Nancie J. Doe (b. 1848, Corinth, ME). She may have been deceased at the time this letter was written. Mary A. Doe Nason (b. 18 Jan 1857, Stillwater, ME; d. 30 May 1899, Newton, NH), Amy’s sister. William Oaks Aldus (b. June 1869, Maine; d. 1941, probably in Waldo County, ME). See top of page 11. Grace M.
