Wilson official Leather NFL football. Fully Restored. Game Prepped. Beautiful early Paul Tagliabue era football. Wilson logos are faded, see pics. The leather has been conditioned, I replaced the bladder with a brand new heavy duty latex bladder and new white Wilson laces. The ball was then game prepped with official Wilson products following recommended game prepping techniques.I have pulled a number of rotting rubber bladders out of old and even relatively new Wilson footballs. Replacement cheaply made rubber bladders have become very difficult to find and are often ridiculously overpriced. I have started using brand new heavy duty latex bladders and have been very impressed with the results. I think the footballs have a bit of a softer feel to them and the grip is fantatic. They are made by a small company in France that takes great pride in the quality of the bladders. The latex bladders weigh about 1.5 oz more then the older rubber bladder. I haven't found this additional weight to be noticeable during backyard play but is something to bear in mind if you're looking for a game ball. Every type of bladder (rubber, butyl, latex) will slowly lose air pressure over time through the valve and these latex bladders are no different. I recommend checking air pressure on a regular basis and adding air when pressure drops to 10 PSI or lower. I also recommend using a lubricant on the valve needle such as glycerin oil or vaseline or any good quality grease - this is very important with any type of bladder/valve to ensure the valve is not damaged.I enjoy taking high quality vintage leather footballs and restoring them to “good as new” condition. Every ball I sell is ready for play. I’m happy to combine shipping.
