Description:Please find for offer a carved wood statue of the Madonna & Child, dating to the late 19th century. This finely carved statue depicts the Virgin Mary wearing a crown, dressed in robes and holding the Christ child in her arms. This is a particularly fine carving and has a good colour and patina. The statue has been later screwed onto a larger wooden base.Dimensions:Height: 33.5cm. Width: 13.3cm. Depth: 11cm.Condition:Madonna’s left hand missing. Small chip to the finger on Madonna's right hand. Christ missing middle finger. Some age related shrinkage cracks to reverse. Age related wear as expected. Overall good.
