This vintage large carved shell cameo brooch is a lovely piece of vintage jewelry. It measures approximately 2 1/8 inches top to bottom and 1 3/4 wide in size. The oval-shaped main stone is a natural shell, handcrafted with intricate detailing. You can see a sail boat and waves in the background plus the woman is finely detailed carved. There are no marking and tested, either gold filled or plated. In nice pre owned condition. On the back on the bottom there is a hook that is bent flat, I believe it originally was to hang a watch from? Has a nice rope detail surrounding the cameo.
