This ground-breaking Wendy Wasserstein comedy opened in March 1993 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York City, and this is a June 1993 Playbill from the Original Run of the show on Broadway! The Playbill even includes two original ticket stubs from the June 21, 1993 performance. The play starred its Original Cast of Jane Alexander, Madeline Kahn, and Robert Klein with Christine Estabrook, John Vickery, Julie Dretzin, Patrick Fitzgerald, and Rex Robbins. At the 1993 Tony Awards, the show received five nominations, with Madeline Kahn winning “Best Actress” for her performance. As shown in the photos, this vintage Playbill is in good condition for its age with some cover wear, creasing, and light soiling, including ¼” staple tears. The Playbill is complete and remains stapled from its cover to its centerfold. It has clean pages with no writing, creases, rips, or tears. The original owner stapled the ticket stubs to the first page as shown. This vintage Broadway Playbill magazine would make a great addition to your collection!
