1892 Columbian Exposition Magic Coin Bank Admin Bldg collectible

A rare semi-mechanical "magic" coin bank celebrating the 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition. The bank consists of a front plate, a cut-out image of the Fair Administration Building, with a receptacle behind it. The face has a horizontally hinged door which opens out to allow the placing of a coin on a hinged tray. When the door closes, the hinged plate collapses, dropping the coin into the receptacle. It is in very good condition, The chromed front plate is a bit dulled down, and it is missing the bottom door of the receptacle. There are also other, minor signs of age and use.
