BOB SEGER wrote dozens of chart songs and was one of the most-listened to and most-bought 70’s and 80’s singles and albums on the rock charts. NIGHT MOVES was Bob’s ninth studio album and the first to credit his SILVER BULLET BAND on the album cover even though they only backed him on four of the album’s nine songs.. The other five were backed by the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. Night Moves is a true story about Seger’s Italian girlfriend (Rene Andretti) when he was 19 and she was 20. Back fabric: Plush maroon velvet But eventually the girl’s boyfriend returned and left Seger broken-hearted. As a young songwriter phenom, Bob Seger told an interviewer that many of his songs were written to impress the girl. Starting out as a certified gold album in 1977, it rose and rose and rose to finally achieve (at this listing date) a RIAA certification of 7X (7 million albums sold in the U.S. alone). Millions more were sold in Canada, Australia and many other English-speaking countries not tabulated by RIAA. It rose to 3X in Canada. Of note from the Night Moves album were several single releases, the most popular (other than the single, Night Moves) was Mainstreet which charted as a GOLD record. Seger has has 22 GOLD & Multi-PLATINUM albums and singles in the U.S. alone. Night Moves charted at on the Billboard’s Top-200. Packaged professionally and insured.
