This is a rare January 13th, 1947 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the L. BUSH-FEKETE and MARY HELEN FAY comedy "THE BIG TWO" at the Booth Theatre in New York City. (The production opened January 8th, 1947 and closed after only 21 performances.) ..... The play starred CLAIRE TREVOR and PHILIP DORN and featured FELIX BRESSART, EDUARD FRANZ, MARTIN BERLINER, ROBERT SCOTT, WAUNA PAUL, E. A. KRUMSCHMIDT, JOHN BANNER, OLGA FABIAN, FRED LORENZ, MISCHA TONKEN, PHIL MILLER, ZITA RIETH, KENNETH DOBBS, MARC HAMILTON, CHARLES BOAZ, Jr. and WALTER "Jack" PALANCE (in his Broadway debut) ..... CREDITS: Book by L. BUSH-FEKETE and MARY HELEN FAY; Sets designed by JO MIELZINER; Costumes designed by BIANCA STROOCK; Staged by ROBERT MONTGOMERY; Produced by ELLIOTT NUGENT and ROBERT MONTGOMERY ..... DETAILS: The 42 page playbill measures 6 1/2" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, bios of each of the leading actors and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a clipped corner to the cover (bottom right), a seam split below the bottom staple and a handwritten note on the title page, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
