Vintage 1940's Fairmount No. 22HC 8 oz. Trimmer’s Hammer made in the USA. This hammer has some minor wear from previous use. It has tarnishing and dings on the head. The head weighs about 8 oz. overall weight about 11-1/2 oz. The overall length of this hammer is about 11-3/16". The head is about 4-15/16" long and 11/16" wide. The one end is about 5/8" square with chamfered corners. The other end is wedge shaped, 11/16" wide and having a sounded end about 1/8" wide. Stamped 22HC on one side and FAIRMOUNT CLEVE on the other. Head is 11/16" wide and 63/64" high at the center. Handle is in good condition with a chipped area near the head, it fits solidly into the head. It is about 10-1/2" long and about 27/32" X 1-9/64" at the grip area. It has a metal piece screwed into the butt end that may have been a nail puller. Sold as shown. See pictures for details.
