This is a true crusher made by Bancroft named the Flighter. Most hats listed are not true crusher's. If you can not fold the bill of the cap, then it is not a crusher. This hat shows some wear and use. Has the tan wool cover. Unfortunately, the moths love these. And they did get to this one. It has a few moth holes. Most are under the folds and can not be seen. Also has a stain to the top. It needs a cover replacement. The rest of the cap is perfect. Soft supple leather bill and straps. It also has a pre-war small style eagle to the front. The hat has the classic 50 mission crush look! The name under the bill written in ink is John Glenn. I'm not sure if it belonged to THE John Glenn. Thanx for looking and or bidding
