Playbill Cards 1978-79 Season Opening Night 37 cardsMy first memory of the Playbill Opening Night Cards was in the few Broadway merchandise stores including One Shubert Alley. They were such a wonderful way to keep track of the shows of the season. They were kind of a private thing, and you really had to hunt for them. Later, I was thrilled to find them every year in my Tony Award Supper Ball gift bag. While it was a small, limited release item satisfying a small group, they were a big deal that set the stage for the later Lights of Broadway cards.
