This lot of 6 Isabelle Cowrie shells, also known as Cypraea isabella, is a beautiful addition to any collection. These shells range in
size from 10-25 mm (.5-1”) and are native to the Indo-Pacific region. Each shell has its own unique markings and patterns, making them a fascinating specimen to observe. I originally listed these as the more rare four spotted cowries based on the photos from the book I added. However after further investigation I am certain that these are the more common Isabelle cowries that are just worn and faded and not taken from live specimens. The majority of the shells have sand stuck in the teeth. Also several are damaged especially on the backside. Please look at photos for quality judgement as these are the exact shells that you will receive.
