Scalp Protector by Walker Improves Adhesion and Helps Prevent Irritation From Tapes and Adhesives 1.4 fl. oz. with Dab-On Applicator Scalp Protector is a skin preparation product that helps prevent irritation from tape and adhesives. Helps improve adhesion of tape and liquid adhesives to skin and protects better during swimming, sports activities, hot and humid weather and with oily skin. Scalp Protector is applied to the skin where it will be covered by tape or adhesive. It leaves a film on the skin that provides an extra layer of protection from irritating effects of adhesives. Scalp Protector also helps tape and bonding glues hold better and longer by putting a thicker barrier between the skin and the adhesive. Adhesives are broken down by body acids and chemicals excreted through the skin. If the wig or hairpiece base is lace, make sure to apply this where it will be covered by tape or glue as it does have a bit of a shine to the film. Dab-On Bottle Directions: Remove cap and hold bottle upside down with pad against application area, press down to release and spread with pad (do not squeeze bottle). Directions and Recommendations: Use rubbing alcohol to clean skin where Scalp Protector and tape/adhesive will be applied, let dry. This removes excess body oils so the adhesive will stick to the skin. Apply Scalp Protector to skin and let dry until it is NOT tacky to the touch. Only need to apply where tape or adhesive will come in contact with skin. This is a scalp preparation product and is not meant to replace tape or adhesive. Apply tape; soft bond or hard bond adhesive after Scalp Protector has dried. Do not apply to severely irritated skin. Caution: Flammable -- Do not use near open flame. External use only.
