They can run 6-8 hours on sunny days and but will not function well or at all on cloudy days. The SP100 with its larger 50W panels can perform in less than sunny conditions. With a 16-foot cord (extendable multiple 16 or 32 feet using our extenders), the solar panel can be positioned for maximum sun exposure. These kit do not include a battery but one is available for the model 50W and 100W with certain limitations. If your pond lacks consistent sunlight, this may not be the best option. There is no option to add a battery to the the SP25 but you can add a battery to the other two models here. If aeration is your primary concern, one of our fountain pumps may be a better fit.
