For sale is this exquisite French Couleuvre Porcelain Pedestal Cake Stand, a piece that marries functionality with exquisite design. Originating from the Limoges Region of France. Couleuvre Porcelaine, founded in 1789 is known for its quality craftmanship. This piece is made with the same artistic techniques the original Haviland Limoges was made however, the floral design is a transfer rather than being hand painted. It stands 4 3/4" tall and is 11" in diameter. The round base is 4 3/4". This cake stand is made of pure white Kaolin clay. The plate has a classic Haviland Limoges floral design with vibrant multi
color flowers and vines. The edge of the plate is hand painted in gold gilt with a feathered design. The base has a subtle scalloped edge and a thin painted band of gold around the edge. The bottom is stamped with the Couleuvre logo a "B" in scrolls. The text, stamped twice, reads in French, Editions D'Art A Tirage Reserve Sur Porcelaine De Couleuvre, Fondee En 1789 Ligne Limoise" and "Made in France" in English. This translates to the company name, Limoise Line, Reserve edition (limited edition of manufacture), founding date and art edition. This beautiful stand is the perfect
