First Man on the MoonFirst Day of Issue Stamp This auction is for a FIRST MAN ON THE MOON First Day of Issue 10-cent Air Mail stamp on envelope. It has two postmarks: July 20, 1969 (the date of the first landing on the Moon) and September 9, 1969 (the date of issue of the stamp). The envelope is quite large, it measures 9-1/2" x 6-1/4". The envelope is not addressed and has not been mailed. Sold as is. Condition: The flap of the envelope is glued. These envelopes were stored in a garage, so they have a slight mechanical odor which should dissipate. Otherwise condition is very good.
