Glidden's Two Point Around 3 Light Weight Twisted Lines - ANTIQUE BARBED WIRE

This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features a Joseph F. Glidden patent, dated November 24, 1874. This wire is called "Glidden's Two Point Barbs Wrapped Around Three Lightweight Twisted Line Wires", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 770-B)(Variation .... Hagemeier does not show light and medium weight variations). This wire features three round line wires twisted together. Line wires are 13.5 gauge. Barbs are wrapped twice around all three line wires. Sample is 18" in length. There are four barbs. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. There are no broken or missing barbing points.
