RARE Limoges Peint Main Notre Dame Trinket Box, Elda Creations, Limited Edition

Beautiful and unusual hand painted Limoges porcelain trinket box depicting the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral. This sculptural architectural design features wonderful hand painted details including the cathedral tower, steeple, windows, and landscaping along the base. The front facade is decorated with a colorful rosette stained glass window motif that is repeated inside the box.This example is marked EC Versailles Limoges France Peint Main and is numbered 56/500, part of a limited edition run of only 500 pieces. The EC mark is attributed to Elda Creations, a well known Limoges decorator.The cathedral form is particularly striking and displays beautifully whether open or closed. Many examples of this design originally included a small Quasimodo figurine referencing The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This listing is for the box only, which still presents wonderfully as a collectible Limoges piece.Measurements:3.5 inches tall3 inches wide1.5 inches deepCondition:Beautiful condition.
