Globe Tobacco Co Detroit Flake Cut Small Top Tobacco Tin - Vintage

For sale is a not often seen small top tobacco tin for Hand Made Flake Cut Tobacco. This early tin was a product of the Globe Tobacco Co of Detroit, Michigan and is empty of all original contents. The tin measures 6 1/4 inches tall with a 4 3/4 inch bottom diameter. Has very nice early lithography. It was common in the day that once this tin was empty, the container was used for other purposes like storing, flour, sugar, rice etc in the kitchen. Therefore, on the back side of the tin is a metal slot where you could place a piece of paper or cardboard to identify what was stored in the tin. The tin is in very good overall condition with just a little litho loss along the bottom rim on one side. This would be a quality addition to any tobacco tin collection.
