All of the specimens are raised here and shipped to you fresh, directly from the freezer.They will arrive in glassine envelopes, unmounted, with “folded” wings as shown in the item photos.All photos are samples and represent stock only, not the actual moth you will receive. (Unless specifically noted in the listing title.) You will need to know how to perform the relaxation, or re hydration process. There are several methods commonly used, widely a matter of personal preference.You will also need to know how to set your specimen once it is relaxed. Information and videos regrading these practices and techniques can be found online. If you are new, or newer to the trade,It is advisable that you gain experience with these processes on lesser quality material before proceeding. 2. UPON ARRIVAL: This is extremely important! Prepare for your moths! They are on the way!Because the specimens are fresh frozen, you’ll need to open the box immediately and do one of the following to prevent molds and pests from ruining them:Return them to a freezer, remove them from the envelopes and completely dry them out for a long term dry store method, or prepare them for the relaxation/setting process. How long the material was in the freezer, will determine if relaxation will be needed. We try to keep the stocks rotated and as fresh as possible so that the specimens ship in a supple state and arrive ready to set, or be returned to a freezer for setting at your convenience. 3. Shipping days are Mondays and Thursdays, excluding postal holidays. Each order is double boxed, securely packaged and Pulled from the freezer, day of post. Rarely do the specimens suffer shock in transit, BUT these are very delicate items, and occasionally an antennae may need repaired. Please keep that in consideration.
