Brass, as per the original, with tapped hole for worm gear and wrench flat. Includes Delrin thrust bearing and cork gasket. These will NOT fit Sears or Thompson sprinklers that have the aluminum impeller shaft. If you're purchasing this to replace the shaft in a Sears or Thompson sprinkler, check the length from the bottom flange to the tapped hole and compare with the picture above.
