Description: For sale is a vintage Gretsch "Square Badge" Bass Drum, dating to the early 1980s. This is the matching kick drum to the Rosewood kit of that era. It features the coveted Jasper-era shell construction and is finished in Gretsch's "Rosewood" Gloss Lacquer. Key Features: Model: M4247 (Standard 22" Diameter x 14" Depth configuration). Finish: Rosewood (Gloss Lacquer) - A deep, rich red wood grain. Badge: Gretsch Square Badge (USA Made). Hardware: Features 20 lugs (10 per side) for precise tuning, original heavy-duty telescoping spurs (legs), and the original Techware tom mount base plate on top. Sound: Known for the classic "Great Gretsch Sound"—warm, punchy, and resonant. Condition: This is a "Player's Grade" vintage drum that has seen action. Cosmetics: The shell has significant scratches and "tom rash" on the top panel where rack toms rubbed against the finish (see photos). There are also dings on the wood hoops.
