Our units are designed to work with geese that are on/near your property at night. They are solar powered and turn off and charge during the day and then flash throughout the evening night (from dusk to dawn). We recommend that you observe the geese to see if they are around at night, or even in the dusk and dawn hours. If the geese are only there during the day, then our product is not the one for you. When do I put my units out? Do I need to bring them in for the winter?The product will provide continuous service year-round. The materials that we use in the construction of the product will hold up well against ice and snow, so you can keep the product outside year-round. The light automatically recharges itself in sunlight and will keep its charge for up to 6 days without sunlight.While not necessary, some may choose to bring the units in for the winter, especially in northern regions where geese migrate to the south.
