18th Century German Enamel Hand Painted Lady & Cherubs Snuff Box C. 1760-1770sAntique mid 18th century German enamel snuff box. Decorated with hand painted putti / putto cherubs fishing on the lid, scenes of putto and winged cherubs on the sides and bottom of the box. Has a scene of a woman and cherub on the inside of the lid. Gilt metal mounts. Unsigned. Circa 1760 to 1770s. Has wear and tarnish to the gilt metal mounts, discolored cracks with some associated losses on to the top and inside of the lid, to the corners with one crack extending into the scene on one side of the box. Also has chips and losses to the corners and side edges of the box. Measures approximately 3 3/8 inches x 2 5/8 inches x 1 3/4 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. ML
