1969 NASCAR North Wilkesboro Speedway Wilkes 400 Program, David Pearson Wins. The program is in very good condition with no major faults and only light wear. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program. The Ninth Annual Wilkes 400 was held on October 5, 1969, at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Bobby Isaac would lead the field of 30 cars to green in front of 11,000 fans. Richard Petty led 270 of the 400 laps and was on his way to victory until a late race caution. The caution flag was thrown for a beer bottle that was thrown on the track. Petty's lead was erased, and Pearson chose the right lane when working traffic to win his 11th race of the year. Petty finished one car length behind with Bobby Isaac, LeeRoy Yarbrough, and Buddy Baker rounding out the top five. Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
