Edward Aarons (Sam Durell) 3 set published by Fawcett Gold Medal paperbacks. The first book is Edward S. Aarons (Sam Durell) "Assignment Carlotta Cortez" published 1959 first edition. C.I.A. agent Sam Durell. Despite all the violence and melodrama the Durell novels are compulsive reading. Aarons was an accomplished writer, with excellent descriptive abilities and an expert sense of narrative pacing. "Durrell was asleep when Pleasure came in, but he awoke at once, conscious that several hours had passed. He didn't move or open his eyes. Waking, he sensed the stealth and furtiveness with which the girl slipped into the room." The topic of this book would be considered very risque at the time it was written. Very good condition. This title is alone selling for over $25.00 on other sites. The second book is "Assignment The Girl in the Gondola" published by Fawcett 1964 First Edition First Printing. 158 pages.
