Original Harper's Weekly issue dated June 15, 1861, featuring coverage and illustrations related to Alexandria and the murder of Ellsworth (see the listing for full contents and details). Condition: complete 16-page issue; previously bound for long-term preservation. Front page shows some brown staining, with light shadowing on other pages that may be a printing artifact. Centerfold has four small pinholes along the center crease from prior binding. Stored in a clear, acid-free plastic sleeve. Free shipping included.

Please see photos for more information. Complete issue of 16 pages. This issue was previously bound, preserving the pages within for over 160 years. I have included photos of every page so you can see the quality of the paper and illustrations. The paper is sturdy and strong. There is some brown staining on the front page, please see photo. The rest of the pages show some light shadowing that seems to come through from the opposite side of the page, possibly a printing artifact. The centerfold has four pinholes along the center crease due to binding. The pinholes are at most the size of a BB. Stored safely in a clear, plastic, acid-free sleeve with one end open.
