Although not complicated, they must be performed by a person with sufficient electronics background (especially in restoring vintage tube and transistor radios) to avoid damages, as we cannot provide customized installation tutorials. In the unlikely case of a defective module, we will proceed with a close inspection to ensure that the module was not damaged by an improper installation, in which case there will be no exchange and no refund. The FM-DW module converts almost all vintage tube and transistor radios to the 87.5-108 MHz FM band. Its AM Saver "piggyback" module (sold in my other listing) allows keeping the AM bands when necessary. DAB/DAB+ radios can be heard using a DAB/DAB+ to FM transmitter (not included), which avoids altering the radio to insert additional controls and a LCD screen. The FM-DW module requires a tuning capacitor: it won't work with variable inductors like in some car radios. Main specs : - FM 87.5-108 MHz. Tune using the radio's dial. Choose where the FM starts and ends on the dial. - Can be AC powered by the tube heaters circuit if heaters are connected in parallel. - Can be DC powered: 4V to 16V for FM only, 7V to 16V if using the regulated +5V output (50mA max). - No additional controls required, no external mods ! - Easy to install: three grounded holes + fully grounded bottom layer. - Very compact: 3 cm x 3.6 cm ! - De-emphasis choice in setup: 75 µs (Americas, South Korea) or 50 µs (rest of the world). - Audio output: mono or stereo using the radio's tube or transistor amplifier. - A 1-meter antenna wire is sufficient in most cases.
