RARE Vintage 1940s Pake Muu Tropicana Honolulu Hawaiian Large Sz 16 Angel Sleeve

What a fabulous vintage Hawaiian Pake Muu made by Tropicana Honolulu!!! ***A knowledgeable seller kindly told me that this Pake Muu is from the 1940s. That in the 40s the zippers were placed in the side as this one is. In the 1950s the zippers were sewn in the back. Also that

size is considered a large. (I had it listed initially as a medium.) Circa 1940s. Fabric looks and feels like cotton. Metal Talon zipper appears to be from 1940s (based on info I've found). Gorgeous Bird of Paradise with monsters leaves pattern in red and orange on white with blue and yellow green highlights. Under part of bat wing or angel sleeves and slits at hem in red fabric. Frog closure also with metal hook and eye. Condition is phenomenal (imho)!!!! Scarcely worn. I have found only 2 very small spots in the front lap area (see photos) and some whitish lines on the red slit area of right side (as you are looking at front) and a bit of grime on red slit area on the other side. All very minor. No odor. Pit to pit: 19 1/2" Waist: 15 1/2" Hips: 20 1/2" Length: 57" Shoulders: 17" Marked
