1971 Mattel VertiBird Astronaut Rescue with Original Box - Vintage Toy

The unit has been cleaned, serviced, lubricated, adjusted and thoroughly tested. All controls and functions check out A-Ok. The battery hub and control console are in beautiful condition functionally and cosmetically. The helicopter and propeller are in outstanding overall condition. "Doolittle" runs smooth forward, backward and hovers steady. (See operational video) The battery compartment is super clean. Terminals are in solid condition; batteries make great contact. The factory battery door has both claw hinges intact. The door closes and latches per design. The kit comes with a bounty of original accessory items.... These items include landing pad, user manual, warranty card, Toys & Hobbies catalog, Power cable do not bend tag, space capsule, and life raft. The astronaut figure and helicopter tail hooks are quality VBN reproduction items. As an added bonus I'm tossing in a custom VBN radar screen to sweeten the deal... All old peeling decals have been removed, and a quality reproduction decal pack is being supplied, so you the new owner can experience the thrill of dressing your Vertibird in its colors... The original box is solid and in outstanding overall condition. It still has its original price tag...How cool is that... The box has one factory sealed end, while the open end has all four flaps intact. It shows minimal play and storage wear. The box also includes the very rare insert assembly. In my opinion, they give best point of contact to battery tray terminals.
