Description For those who have switched to using 26650 Li-Ion rechargeable batteries but still have devices that take those D cell alkalines, this adapter might be something you'd be interested in. This auction is for a 3D printed adapter which allows a single 26650 Lithium Ion battery to take the place of 2 D Cell alkaline batteries. This auction is for the adapter ONLY and does not include the 26650 battery, flashlight or D-cell batteries shown in the pictures. Disclaimer: 26650 batteries are designed for ~4.2 volts at full charge while 2x D cells put out 3 volts in series. Some devices can handle the voltage discrepancy (like your typical flashlight) with no harm, but other devices might be more sensitive. Be sure to consider this before ordering. Also, when your 26650 battery requires charging, it must be removed from the adapter. As this is a 3D printed part, there may be some slight blemishes due to the printing process. This in no way weakens or affects the functionality of the adapter. The positive contact is the head of a screw which extends into the adapter body and contacts the Positive terminal of the 26650 battery. The negative contact is the actual battery protruding ~0.5" from the back of the adapter. This protrusion allows easy access to the battery when it needs to be removed from the adapter. There is an option for a Negative Cap which enlarges the surface area of the negative terminal for devices which use a large diameter spring. Buy with confidence.
