You are looking at a very rare TAG Heuer. This is the black faced TAG Heuer 980.006L men's 1000 professional watch. This watch is a true survivor. What makes it super rare is that it is the Jumbo version of the 1000 men's models. These models were made for a very short time. They are in high demand due to their 42mm case and vintage look. size 1000 series TAG watch with a case

size of about 42mm (45mm crown included). The crystal is in perfect condition with no scratches. A new sapphire crystal was installed recently by a watchmaker. The back casing is in very good condition with light wear scratches. The bracelet is an aftermarket stainless steel band. It is made to look like the original Rolex bands. The bracelet and clasp are in excellent condition with fine scratches. The bezel is in excellent condition with light scratches. The hands and hour markers have darkened over the years. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 8.5 out of 10 in condition. These are hard to grade since you don't see any for sale. This is the nicest example of a 980.006 I have seen in a long time. Most are beat up, but not this one. This one is ready to wear. The watch will fit up to a large 9 inch wrist. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. It is quartz movement. My local watchmaker just completely serviced the watch. It is ready to go another 30 years. I always recommend having the seals tested before wearing in water.
