This strainer is fit with an 80 mesh filter, this refers to the holes per inch, in this instance 80 holes per inch, which filters out substances 177 microns or larger.These strainers are built to last. Both the body and components are made from Stainless Steel and the drain plug meets the body at a PTFE Gasket making the strainer sturdy and entirely lead-free. The end plug can easily be removed for cleaning and maintenance. This port is M-threaded and can be fitted with a blow-off valve for ease of cleaning, speed, and the ability to clean without shutting your system down.
