specification was used by EMD's Sales Department when discussing the purchase of new locomotives with a potential customer. It covers the very rare model DD40A locomotive. A folded outline drawing is included in the rear of the catalog. Note that EMD did not start producing the DD40 model locomotive until 1969. This

specification indicates to me that EMD was contemplating the DD40 as the DD35 model had run it's course.This catalog dates to 1965 and is brand new, never distributed and may be the only copy in existence.I am listing a series of
