Listing details

4 original movie stills from George C. Scott's very effective chiller "Rage" (1972). The film stars George C. Scott, Richard Basehart, Martin Sheen, Barnard Hughes, Robert Walden and Kenneth Tobey. All photos are original studio press kit stills, 8x10. Items are being sold as collectibles; no rights of any kind are being granted.Condition is very good. Slight edge wear is apparent. These four George C. Scott stills are being sold as a lot.Shipping costs will be combined for multiple items. International shipping is available at a flat rate of $25. If the actual cost is significantly less than that, money will be refunded. My male star of the month for January is George C. Scott. Trained for the theatre, he appeared sporadically in television throughout the 1950s before finding costarring roles in "The Hanging Tree" and "Anatomy of a Murder" in 1959. From there his career was off and running and he would be a bona fide movie star within a few years, appearing in such notables as "The Hustler," "The List of Adrian Messenger," "Dr. Strangelove . . .," "The Bible: In the Beginning . . .," "The Film-Flam Man," "Petulia," "Patton," "They Might Be Giants," "The Hospital," "The New Centurians," "Rage," "Oklahoma Crude," "The Day of the Dolphin," "Bank Shot," "The Hindenburg," "Islands in the Stream," "Movie Movie," "Hardcore," "The Changeling," "The Formula," "Taps," "Firestarter," "The Exorcist III," "The Rescuers Down Under" and others, as well as a host of TV-movies, until his death at 1999 at the age of 72. He was nominated for four Academy Awards, winning for "Patton" (and famously refusing the award), and eight Emmy Awards, winning twice. He was one of the finest (and gruffest) actors of his time, and his excellence led me to collect photos from several of his films.
