PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION BELOW.Current UK bulk quantities of pound coins for sale! Pictures are representative of the type and grade of coins you will receive, but are not the exact coins you'll receive. Our parent company is a recycling business and our coins come from many sources - "wishing well" fountains, incinerators, other recyclers, etc... On their trip to you, all of these coins passed through heavy sorting machinery which handles thousands of pounds of coins and coin-sized debris daily. These machines aren't gentle - it's very rare to find a coin which is still shiny at the end of this process. These have all been circulated and will be dirty. Their surfaces will generally look rougher than coins which have only spent time in purses or pockets - they've been through a lot! They are no longer shiny; they have a dull finish due to wear. Some will be heavily worn and / or discolored, and some will have rim damage. There are coins with major deformities in the raw lots that we receive from our suppliers -- we sort these out by hand and eye before you receive them. We include a few extra in case we missed some. We can't guarantee that they'll go through an automatic coin counter because we don't have one for non-American coinage. Customers have reported mixed results with machines - some have no trouble, and some do. It greatly depends on the individual machine's tolerances. In general, it seems that machines which count UK coinage are spec'd to tighter tolerances than similar machines in the United States. Because of this, coins with heavy wear or rim damage which is almost invisible to the naked eye will be rejected by a UK machine, where an American coin in a similar American machine would be passed. These can be great deals for the correct use case, but please set your goals for them realistically according to the above information. Please message us prior to purchase if you have any questions on the grade of these coins. Finally, please visit our store and check our other listings. In addition to other denominations, amounts, and sources, we've recently added a "pirate treasure" listing which has been a hit with our own kids around holidays and birthdays! These are the coins we receive which are too damaged to re-enter circulation -- they are mainly American quarters but occasionally some other denominations and nationalities are in there as well. Thank you so much for your interest and your business!
