Alisam Engineering NEW! P/N: CG-XXX $19.99 - 26.99 These are Alisam Engineering's reproduction of the South Bend Lathe Co.'s "CHIP GUARDS" for the 9/10K, 10L/"heavy 10", 13" and 16" taper attachments, (select your model from the drop down list). These, as was the little "daubers / quill oilers", must have ended up in the trash or didn't quite make the move to the next owner's shop! They are almost never seen in place on the taper attachment. These protect the long, cross slide feed screw from the usual shower of chips when operating the lathe. Which in turn also protects your soft brass/bronze cross slide nut too! Made, as always, right here in the USA. Laser cut and engraved from 18 gauge stainless steel, (original was thinner, mild steel). See our other reproduction items for your South Bend lathe.
