Before the TAC-700 and VKS, PepperBall’s front-line launcher was the SA-200, carbine built on a Tippmann Pro/Carbine chassis and dedicated to firing PAVA® irritant projectiles. The blow-back action cycles semi-automatically at 8–10 bps and feeds from an included 200 round gravity hopper.Powered by either CO₂ or 3000 psi HPA (standard ASA), the SA-200 launches PepperBall rounds at 300–350 fps, accurate on point targets to 60 ft and capable of bursting a pepper cloud out to 150 ft.An 8.5″ honed barrel, horizontal foregrip and Tippmann’s proven inline valve system make the launcher one of the most reliable air-powered less-lethal platforms ever fielded.Originally issued from 1999-2006 and still in service with many agencies, the SA-200 remains a go-to launcher for riot control, cell extraction and wildlife deterrence thanks to its simplicity, Tippmann parts availability, and proven field record.
